Project-Ready Piping Foundations

About This Course

This Piping Engineering Course is built for engineers who know component names but cannot yet explain why a specific type, rating, schedule or material is used on a real project. It teaches how process intent becomes an inspectable, purchasable and constructable system, using ASME Standards, API Standards and ASTM Standards as working tools, not just reference tables.

What Will You Learn?
  • 1. Identify and describe pipes, fittings, flanges, gaskets, bolting, valves and specialties by function and limitation
  • 2. Trace design pressure, temperature, fluid, corrosion allowance and piping class from process documents through to isometric BOM
  • 3. Navigate ASME Standards and key component and material standards using scope, requirement and exception logic
  • 4. Check a simple isometric and MTO against P&ID, line list and Piping Material Specification
  • 5. Write a clear technical query with requirement, observation, conflict, consequence and proposed resolution

Material Includes

  • Course level: Foundation
  • Modules: 8
  • Duration: 48 hours plus capstone
Requirements
  • No prior industry experience required. Suited to fresh mechanical engineering graduates and engineers in their first two years on piping projects.

Audience

  • Engineers with 0 to 2 years of experience who want to move from component familiarity to supervised project execution.
